Nintendo Wants to Teach You How to Make Games in GAME BUILDER GARAGE for the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo recently announced a new game that definitely sounds interesting. Game Builder Garage is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch and will teach players how to create their own video games. You’ll have the help of Nodons to help teach you how to use the UI and be part of said UI to make your game with dozens available with unique functions.

With this new software, kids and parents and everyone in between can have fun learning to create and share their very own video games. By connecting colorful creatures called Nodon, anyone can enjoy learning how to create their own game through fun, guided lessons that cover the basics of visual game programming – and no prior experience is necessary!

There are a few different modes that will be available including Lesson Mode to learn how everything works and Free Programming mode where you get to make whatever your heart desires. Nick Chavez of Nintendo of America said:

For anyone who has always wanted to make their own video games, Game Builder Garage is the perfect place to start. Through the use of guided lessons and memorable Nodon characters, Game Builder Garage helps make creating video games just as much fun as playing them!

Game Builder Garage definitely seems interesting and there are a ton of people that are going to be able to make amazing games for others to enjoy. Once you create a level that you’re proud of, you can share it with others over the internet. Heck, you can even take a look at the programming that some of the greats use as you play them. One final feature I want to point out is that players can plug a USB mouse into the Switch dock and use that for control.

You’ll be able to play Game Builder Garage on June 11 for $29.99.
