No, BLACK WIDOW Was Never Going to Be Rated R

About a month or two ago, there was a rumor circulating that Black Widow was going to be Marvel’s first R-Rated film. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has finally weighed in on the rumor. Feige told CB:

“It never was going to be. Somebody writes, ‘I hear it’s R-rated!’ And then everybody writes it up.”

There you have it. Black Widow is not going to be rated R and it was never planned to be such. Honestly, I thought the rumor was a little weird as Marvel is part of Disney and Disney is very on top of branding.

Right now, fans only know what films are being released through Spider-Man: Far From Home, but Feige is said to reveal more of the line-up after Avengers: Endgame premieres. Did you think that Black Widow would be rated R, or were you wearing your skepticles?
