If you were excited about seeing the new James Bond film, No Time To Die this year, I’ve got some bad news for you. The studio has pushed the released date back from November 20th, 2020 to April 2nd, 2021.

If studios keep pushing the theatrical released dates back for their films, there are going to be no movie theaters open to show them in! I don’t know how movie theaters are going to survive this insanity.

The reason that the movie is being pushed back is because the two biggest U.S. markets in Los Angeles and New York City are still closed and there’s no word on when they will finally be allowed to open. Ugh…

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of ‘No Time To Die,’ the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience,” the filmmakers said in a statement. “We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing ‘No Time To Die’ next year.”

The movie is being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, and in the story, “Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.” That technology will reportedly be based on genetic warfare.

The movie stars Daniel Craig as Bond, Rami Malek as the villain Safin, Lea Seydoux is playing Madeleine Swann, Ralph Fiennes is back as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q, with Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Christoph Waltz as Blofeld, and Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter. New cast members include Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, David Dencik, and Lashana Lynch.
