Noah Centineo Confirms He's Playing He-Man in the New MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Movie

About a month ago it was rumored that actor Noah Centineo was wanted for the role of He-Man in Sony Pictures’ new Master sof the Universe movie. Well, the actor recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and when asked about it, he confirmed that he has officially been cast in the role.

So, Noah Centineo is going to be He-Man. This is a very interesting and unexpected choice. Centineo is best known for the little teen romantic comedies that he stars in on Netflix. Some of those films include To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date, and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser.

I have a couple of little girls who seem to think he’s hot. I’ve watched these Netflix films with my kids and he comes off as a very charming guy, but I still just can’t see him in the role of He-Man! He’s not really He-Man material. Who knows, though, maybe the new Masters of the Universe film will be a rom com involving He-Man and She-Ra!

Yeah, I doubt that will be the case, but this is certainly a different direction for casting. I can’t say I’m excited about it. But, maybe I’ll be surprised when I start seeing stuff from the film.

Matt Holloway and Art Marcum (Iron Man and Men in Black: International) have rewritten the script for the film, and Aaron and Adam Nee (Band of Robbers) are set to direct it. There aren’t any concrete details to share one what is being planned for the story.

You can watch the interview with Centineo below with Fallon in which they talk about how much he looks and sounds like Mark Ruffalo.

Noah Centineo reveals how he feels about people comparing his looks to Mark Ruffalo, discusses being cast as He-Man in Masters of the Universe and dishes on To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2.
