Ever wonder what would happen in Australia if the apocalypse was nigh? I didn't, nor did I care until I saw this incredible trailer for These Final Hours. Here's a brief synopsis of the film.
It’s the last day on Earth, twelve hours before a cataclysmic event will end life as we know it. A troubled young man named James makes his way across a lawless and chaotic city to the party to end all parties. However, along the way he ends up saving the life of a little girl named Rose, desperately searching for her father. Stuck with the unexpected burden of responsibility, James is forced to come to terms with what really matters in life and helps Rose find her father which ultimately leads him on a path to redemption.
The film stars Nathan Phillips (Wolf Creek, Snakes On A Plane, Chernobyl Diaries) and was written and directed by Zac Hilditch. Warning you right now, this is not a feel good apocalyptic thriller. With bodies hanging from street lamps, men kidnapping little girls, and games of Russian roulette for fun it goes without saying this trailer is slightly NSFW. This movie looks incredibly dark but damn good. It premiered in August at a couple of independent film festivals, so hopefully it'll surface on Netflix sometime in the near future! I can't wait to see it!
