N'SYNC's Joey Fatone Says He Would Love to Be the Fourth Member of IMPRACTICAL JOKERS
Joey Fatone, previously of the band N’Sync and actor in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, as well as the show and movie Impractical Jokers, has thrown his hat in the ring for a permanent spot in the lineup of the prank show. After the announced departure of one of the founding members, Joe Gatto, fans wondered how the show would go on, especially considering a lot of the challenges play out with two of the comedians going up against the other two.
The guys have since announced that the show feels completely new in the upcoming season, and they are going to be releasing a super-sized episode this Saturday, and will be joined in the special by comedian Eric André. He will be the first of many guest hosts to join the series after their return to TV this summer.
At a recent Q&A panel at Fandemic Tour Atlanta, Joey Fatone was asked if he would possibly be joining the Jokers permanently at some point. He joked:
"Heck, yeah!" Then he went on to add, "No, no, no, I have no idea. I'd love to, but it's Joe. Joe is the man on that one, let's be real. All of them are, but he had no fear whatsoever. That dude did not care, and he's good at it. He's really good at it. I'll probably come out and do stuff [on Season 10]. We're actually gonna be shooting some more Afterparty stuff, the show that I host, we're shooting in April at some point. They've already shot episodes as well and they're bringing some celebrities in to fill in those gaps."
I actually think it will be pretty fun to have a series of guests jump in to mix things up. If we can’t have Joe Gatto, at least we can have a bit of variety. I wouldn’t mind if they did end up with Joey Fatone in the fourth spot permanently at some point. He is funny, and a good sport, but he would have some big shoes to fill.
Impractical Jokers supersize special episode premieres April 2 on truTV, TBS, and TNT.
