Numan Acar Cast as In Disney’s Live Action ALADDIN Remake as a Villain
Another actor has joined the roster of actors for Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake, which is being directed by Guy Ritchie. Numan Acar has been cast and will play "Hakim," the head of guards and Jafar's right-hand man. He joins Will Smith as Genie as well as Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott, in the roles of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine.
Aladdin is written by John August (Big Fish) and is based on the 1992 animated classic that follows the story of Aladdin, who finds a magic lamp and uncovers a genie. It was the top grossing film of 1992.
The original animated movie was a comic take on the Arabic folk tale of a young man granted three wishes by a genie trapped in a lamp. The genie was voiced by the late Robin Williams.
There is no release date yet for Aladdin.
