OBI-WAN KENOBI Actor Rory Ross Hypes Up The STAR WARS Series - "It's Going To Be Awesome"

Lucasfilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series can’t get here soon enough. I’m pretty damn excited about this series, and it’s going to be so cool to see Ewan McGregor back in the role of Obi-Wan after all these years. Then, of course, there’s Hayden Christensen, who will be back as Darth Vader.

The story is set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, "where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turned evil Sith Lord, Darth Vader."

Well, now actor Rory Ross is hyping up the series. Ross has played Tusken Raider in The Book of Boba Fett and he plays a Stormtrooper in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Being in two different Star Wars shows gives him a unique perspective on what Lucasfilm is doing and as you’ll see, he’s incredibly enthusiastic. In an interview with /Film, Ross shared:

"It's going to be awesome. It's going to be really, really cool. Having the connective tissue between the prequels and 'A New Hope,' and just understanding where Obi has been and what's happening, story-wise, I think fans are going to enjoy that. It's just going to be a really great time. I think a lot of fans are like, 'Where's the trailer? What's happening?' I think the big part of it is we're just trying to make sure that it's as polished as possible, so that when it comes out, it's not going to have that 'Game of Thrones' moment, where there's a coffee cup in the corner that they missed or something like that. It's going to have a lot of love that's poured into it, and it's just going to hopefully blow people's minds and just really enjoy seeing what's been going on."

I’m really curious to see what kind of story the Obi-Wan Kenobi series will tell. One thing we do know is that Kenobi will be doing everything he can to watch over Luke Skywalker and keep him safe.

When previously talking about the series, McGregor said, "There's a hunger for this character to come back. The fans have been waiting long enough, you know, and the most beautiful thing of all is that it's brought me back together with Hayden (Christensen)... [We'll] have another swing at each other. It might be quite satisfying for everybody. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed making it!"

Director Deborah Chow added, "Something that is extremely exciting is the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. We are bringing back Hayden Christensen to reprise the role of Darth Vader. We couldn't tell the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi without addressing Anakin or Vader. This is quite a dark time that we're coming into with him. Just being a Jedi is not safe. There are Jedi hunters out there. That's the starting place for our story; the interesting thing is going to be where it goes from there."

Obi-Wan Kenobi will arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
