Old Gods Vs. New Gods in Full Trailer For AMERICAN GODS Season 2
Starz has released the full trailer for the second season of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. It offers us a lot of cool and interesting footage from the series along with some insight on the story that the second season will deliver. In this next season, the Old Gods will rise up against the New Gods in an effort reclaim the influence on America that they have lost.
Here’s the synopsis:
When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it.
Season two will see “Mr. World task Mr. Town with tracking down Shadow (Ricky Whittle, The 100) and finding out what he knows about Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane, Deadwood)’s plan. Town’s methods are brutally efficient and may help him get to the root of his and World’s curious questions.”
American Gods also stars Emily Browning (Sucker Punch) as Laura Moon and Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black) as Mad Sweeney, and Orlando Jones (Sleepy Hollow) as Mr. Nancy.
