Olivia Wilde’s Feature Film Directorial Debut will be BOOKSMART
Olivia Wilde is best known for her onscreen roles in films such as TRON: Legacy. Then she started producing some movies such as Drinking Buddies. Now Wilde is set to debut as a director with Booksmart. The film has cast Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein to star in this original script penned by Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins.
“The story follows Dever and Feldstein’s characters, who, on the eve of their high school graduation, two academic superstars and best friends suddenly realize that they should have worked less and played more. Determined never to fall short of their peers, the girls set out on a mission to cram four years of fun into one night.”
This sounds like it’ll be a crazy high school movie that could either be a lot of fun or a dud. I’m hoping that this film is a lot of fun as I have a soft spot for these high school movies, and I can’t wait to hear more about Booksmart.
