ONCE UPON A TIME's Ginnifer Goodwin Joins THE TWILIGHT ZONE Revival

Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin is the latest actor to join Jordan Peele’s revival of The Twilight Zone. She will appear in an episode titled “Point of Origin” which will also star James Frain and Zabryna Guevara.

There are no character or story details revealed, but there was one original Twilight Zone episode where Rod Serling mentioned the phrase “point of origin” in his opening narration. It was for an episode called “The Call”, and this is what he said:

“Norman Blane, whose greatest fear is that, if he were to vanish from the Earth tomorrow, no one will notice, or mourn, or question, and whose greatest sadness is the realization that he is probably right. Sofa, coffee table, chair, and pet; solitary decorations in a life noted chiefly for its isolation. Point of origin and point of destination for Norman Blane, whose days and nights are routinely swallowed into unhappy silence.”

I have no idea if this will be a remake of “The Call” or something completely different, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The new series is described as an anthology that will tell self-contained stories in every episode. Also like its predecessors, it will lean on science fiction, fantasy, and horror to tell tales laced with social commentary.

Jordan Peele will host the series, and as for the cast of the episodes, Goodwin will join Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and Greg Kinnear (As Good as it Gets), who are both set to appear in an episode titled “The Traveler.”

John Cho (Star Trek), Allison Tolman (Fargo), and Jacob Tremblay (Room, Wonder) will star in an episode called “The Wunderkind.”

Some of the other cast members include Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Kumail Nanjiani, DeWanda Wise, Taissa Farmiga (The Nun)Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), Luke Kirby (The Deuce), Ike Barinholtz, and Jessica Williams (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) are all starring in other episodes of The Twilight Zone.

The other episodes we know of so far that will be included in the series are “Nightmare At 30,000 Feet,” “Nick of Time,” and “Rewind.”

The series will premiere on CBS All Access with two episodes on Monday, April 1st, with subsequent episodes airing on Thursdays starting April 11th. You can watch the Super Bowl trailer for the series here in case you missed it.
