ONE-PUNCH MAN Season 3 Finally Drops a New Trailer and Confirms Release Date
It’s been a long wait, but One-Punch Man Season 3 is officially back on the radar with a brand new trailer and a confirmed release date. Fans have been holding their breath for months, wondering if Saitama’s long-awaited return would actually land this year. Thankfully, the wait is almost over.
The latest trailer clocks in at just fifteen seconds, but it’s enough to prove the series is alive and kicking again. The last time we saw any footage was when the anime had special showings at conventions like Anime Expo and Anime NYC, but no fresh material was released online until now.
Alongside glimpses of returning favorites like Saitama and Garou, the trailer also teases the opening theme for the new season. The track, titled “Get No Satisfied,” is performed by JAM Project and BABYMETAL, a collaboration that’s bound to get fans hyped each week. The ending theme, “The Light, That’s There,” will be performed by Makoto Furukawa, who also voices Saitama.
To set the stage, J.C. Staff released a description of Season 3 that lays out where the story is headed:
“Saitama is a man who started being a hero as a hobby. After three years of intensive training, he gained the unbeatable power to defeat any enemy with a single blow. He joined the Hero Association, an organization for professional heroes, and is active every day alongside Genos, who becomes his apprentice through a strange turn of events.
“One day, monsters claiming to be from the Monster Association suddenly appear, and take the child of a Hero Association executive hostage. S-class heroes gather together and devise a plan to infiltrate the Monster Association’s hideout and rescue the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a ‘human monster’ who was abducted by the Monster Association during a battle with the heroes, wakes up in the hideout.”
When we last saw these characters, Saitama was still searching for an opponent who could actually survive one of his punches, while Garou had thrown his lot in with the Monster Association. Now, with his look and power evolving, Garou might finally be stepping into the role of a true rival for the unbeatable “hero for fun.”
One-Punch Man Season 3 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting anime returns of the year, and with October just around the corner, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see Saitama back in action.
One-Punch Man Season 3 will officially premiere on October 5th.
