Release Date for the Russo Bros. Cop Drama 21 BRIDGES Has Been Pushed Back Again

We got to see the trailer for the thrilling cop drama 21 Bridges while at the Russo Bros. panel at Comic-Con, where they unveiled the upcoming film that they are producing about a police officer in the midst of trying to catch a group of criminals who have killed a group of police officers in a setup made to look like a robbery. The city goes on lockdown, and the 21 bridges in and out of New York are closed down to facilitate the search.

The movie looked really exciting and stars Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), and Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights). So no one is quite sure why the film continues to get moved back. It was first set to premiere early July, then at Comic-Con we were told September, and now it has a November 22nd release date. A spokesman for STX told The Wrap:

“We think this move is the best thing for the movie and we believe the 22nd is a great date that allows this film to play into the pre-Thanksgiving holiday, and it becomes true counterprogramming.”

Check out the trailer below, and hopefully we will get to see 21 Bridges this November.
