Optimus Prime Meets Optimus Primal in Clip From TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS

Paramount Pictures has released a clip from its upcoming movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The scene features an intense confrontation between the Autobots and the Maximals as Anthony Ramos’ Noah Diaz and Dominique Fishback’s Elena Wallace are being threatened by the Maximals. The scene leads to Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime meeting for the first time. You can check out that clip below!

I wish I was more excited about this movie, but I’m not convinced that it will have the same level of quality storytelling that Bumblebee had. That movie got Transformers right, this one looks like it reverted back to what Michael Bay was doing. It looks like they just pack way too much into this movie.

In the film, “Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformer – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for earth.”

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is being directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II) and also stars Luna Lauren Valez, Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, and Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal. The film also stars Peter Dinklage as Scourge, Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, Pete Davidson as Mirage, Liza Koshy, John DiMaggio, David Sobolov, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, and Cristo Fernández.

When previously talking about the movie, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said, "We wanted to give the audience a lot of new (elements). We have exhausted I would say the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. How do we find a new set of villains and priorities, saving the world is left to the Autobots and in this case the Maximals. Part of the new news, if you've seen the other movies, you're going to see villains you've never seen before and a lot of elements we've never done before."

The director added, "We wanted to expand the universe, you have the Autobots and the Decepticons, and I would say my new flair to this is the Terracons. The Terracons are a new threat to Optimus Prime, and it's something I pride myself on when entering the franchise. I've done Rocky with Creed, and you bring the nostalgia that fans want, but also bring something they aren't expecting, and the Terracons are that."

The film arrives in theaters June 9, 2023.
