Original JURASSIC PARK Actor Joseph Mazzello Teases a Possible Return to the Franchise
Actor Joseph Mazzello got his start as a child actor in films like Radio Flyer and The River Wild, and has gone on to continue in great roles in the miniseries The Pacific and great movies like The Social Network, and his fantastic portrayal of Queen band member John Deacon in Bohemian Rhapsody. But his most iconic role was probably as Tim, the grandson of the owner of Jurassic Park.
Mazzello came back to reprise the role in the film’s first sequel, The Lost World, but that was his final encounter with the franchise. Possibly until now. Last week, Jurassic World star Chris Pratt revealed to Ellen Degeneres on her talk show that the whole cast is coming back. Sort of. Here’s what he said:
“This feels like it. I’m not allowed to say anything… It’s got everybody. It’s got pretty much everybody in it. Maybe I just blew it, but I don’t care. All the cast from the original Jurassic Park is coming back. It’s going to feel very much like how Endgame brought everything together for Marvel.”
Either he wasn’t supposed to say that, or it isn’t quite the whole cast. But it sounds like he just wasn’t supposed to say that. And now, this week, Mazzello tweeted this:
Some could say this sounds cryptic, but when so many Jurassic Park cast members have already been confirmed and Jurassic World 3 is in pre-production, fans are sure to get excited. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum will be back to reprise their roles, with B.D. Wong, who already crossed over from the first films to the recent ones, and the new stars, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as Jake Johnson and Omar Sy. I love that they are bringing back all these fan favorites for this movie! It’s going to be epic!
Jurassic World 3 is set to hit theaters on June 11, 2021. Are you excited?
