Original Trailer For Ridley Scott's 1979 Sci-Fi Horror Film ALIEN

It’s interesting and fun to go back and watch older original trailers for some of our favorite movies. This week’s retro trailer is for Ridley Scott’s classic 1979 horror thriller Alien.

It’s fun to think about what audiences were thinking in the late 70s when they were sitting in theaters watching this trailer for the first time. They had no idea how this movie was going to change things.

The story follows the crew of the commercial spaceship Nostromo, who respond to a distress signal on a distant planet. Upon investigating, they discover a derelict alien spacecraft and a chamber filled with mysterious eggs. One of the crew members, Kane, becomes the unwitting host for a parasitic extraterrestrial creature that later evolves into the iconic and terrifying Xenomorph.
