Orlando Bloom and Andie MacDowell to Star in Action Thriller Film RIGHT HAND RED

Actors Orlando Bloom (The Lord of The Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean) and Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day, Maid) have signed on to star in the action thriller film Right Hand Red. The film will be directed by Ian Nelms and Eshom Nelms (Fatman), from a script written by Jonathan Easley.

The story “centers on Cash (Bloom), who is trying to live an honest and quiet life, taking care of his niece Savannah in the Appalachian hills of Odim County. When the sadistic Queenpin Big Cat (MacDowell) who runs the town forces him back into her services, Cash learns he’s capable of anything—even killing—to protect the town and the only family he has left. As the journey gets harder, Cash is drawn into a nightmare that blurs the lines between good and evil.”

This sounds like it could be interesting. I like Bloom and MacDowell, so hopefully this turns out to be a good movie. Bloom will next be seen starring in Season 2 of Amazon’s fantasy series Carnival Row, which he also executive produces. MacDowell will next be seen in Sofia Alvarez’s Along for the Ride for Netflix; Tal Granit and Sharon Maymon’s My Happy Ending; Sarah Elizabeth Mintz’s Good Girl Jane; and Sara Zandieh’s The Other Zoey.
