Orlando Bloom Joins David Harbour in Director Neill Blomkamp's GRAN TURISMO Movie
Orlando Bloom has joined David Harbour in Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions film adaptation of Gran Turismo. The movie is being directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9) from a screenplay written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylan. The film also stars Archie Madekwe.
The film will be based on a true story. It’s described as “the ultimate wish-fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.”
I actually love this story as this kid was able to translate his impressive Gran Turismo gaming skills into real life through a series of Nissan competitions, resulting in him becoming a professional race car driver.
The project will go into production soon and the movie will be released on August 11th, 2023.
