Orlando Bloom Thinks PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 6 Needs "Everybody Back" to Win Fans Back

As Pirates of the Caribbean 6 slowly drifts toward development, Orlando Bloom is making it clear where he stands on what the movie needs to succeed, and it involves the full crew back on deck, especially Johnny Depp.

Bloom, who fans know as Will Turner, recently spoke at Fan Expo Chicago and didn’t hold back his thoughts on what it would take to make another Pirates movie truly work. For him, it’s not just about flashy ships and sword fights. It’s about getting the heart of the franchise back.

“Everything is in the writing, right? Everything is on the page, and I think there’s definitely, I’m sure there’s a way to create something.

“I would personally love to see everybody back. I think the way to win on that one is to get everybody back. If they can, and if everybody wanted to go back.”

That obviously includes Depp, and he’s not the only one clinging to hope. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently shared that Depp’s return could be possible, saying: “If he likes the way the part’s written, I think he would do it.”

That said, there’s still no official confirmation on whether Depp is willing to step back into Jack Sparrow’s boots following the storm of his legal battles.

Meanwhile, Bloom seems open to jumping back into the franchise himself, but it all depends on what’s on the page. “The jury is out on how to do it again, but if [the script] was great,” he said, he’d be all in for another high-seas adventure.

Whether or not Pirates of the Caribbean 6 sets sail with its original crew remains to be seen, but Bloom beliebves that there's no treasure map that leads to success without Johnny Depp.
