Oscar Isaac Says Carrie Fisher is "With Us" While Filming STAR WARS: EPISODE IX

Carrie Fisher has been a big part of the Star Wars franchise and she will continue to be a big part through Episode IX. Sadly, she is unable to physically be present due to her passing in 2016. Her legacy will live on in Star Wars as J.J. Abrams plans to use unused footage of Fisher in Episode IX.

It’s fair to assume that the cast still thinks about her as they work on the final installment of the Skywalker story and pass the Carrie Fisher Building at Pinewood Studios. Oscar Isaac has even said that she’s still with them while filming, telling USA Today:

It always feels like she’s around while cast and crew are filming the final chapter of the long-running Skywalker saga. Of course she’s with us.

That has to be a comforting feeling for everyone. I am very interested to see this unused footage and how it works with the rest of the story in Episode IX. Star Wars: Episode IX is slated for release December 20, 2019.
