Oscar-Nominated Actress Jessie Buckley Set to Star in the Horror Video Game THE DEVIL IN ME
Supermassive Games (Until Dawn) has announced that Jessie Buckley (Fargo, The Lost Daughter, Chernobyl) has been cast in their upcoming horror video game project, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me. She will take on the lead role of Kate Wilder.
Buckley was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Lost Daughter, and she also stars in Alex Garland’s upcoming horror thriller, Men.
The studio also released a poster for the game that shows Buckley's portrayal of Wilder as well as some other teasers for the game's creepy story and setting. As you can see, they will be using her likeness in the game.
They did the same thing with the actors that they cast in Until Dawn, which was a fun horror gaming experience! Some of the previous actors they’ve worked with in their games include Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, Shawn Ashmore, Will Poulter, and more.
The Devil in Me follows a documentary film crew who receives “a mysterious invite to a replica of the 'Murder Castle' of H.H. Holmes, America's first serial killer." A preview of the game said. "They soon discover that they're being watched, and there is much more at stake than their viewing figures…"
That sounds like fun! The new game is set to come out in 2022, but it doesn't yet have an exact release date.
