OUTER BANKS Season 3 First Look Photos, New Details, and Premiere Date
Netflix has announced Outer Banks Season 3 will premiere on February 23rd, 2023 and they’ve also shared a bunch of new photos offering a first look at the upcoming season of the treasure-hunting adventure drama. My teen girls love this show, and I’ve actually surprisingly enjoyed it myself. It ended up being a lot better than I expected it to be.
The coming-of-age series was created and executive produced by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke, and it follows the adventures of “a tight-knit group of local teens (the ‘Pogues’) in the beach vacation destination of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.”
Season 3 picks up with the Pogues as they’re washed ashore on a desert island that, for a brief moment, seems like an idyllic home, after they’ve found (and lost) a golden treasure and fled their hometown.
Netflix also offered new details on the Season 3 story with a synopsis that reads:
After losing the gold and fleeing the Outer Banks, Season 3 finds the Pogues washed ashore on a desert island that, for a brief moment, seems like an idyllic home. Officially deemed ‘Poguelandia,’ the island’s newest residents spend their days fishing, swimming, and reveling in the carefree lifestyle of their temporary dwelling. But things quickly go south for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo when they find themselves once again caught up in a race for the treasure, quite literally running for their lives.
Season 2 ended with the Pogues, which includes John B., Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, along with their new friend Cleo washing up on an island they christened “Poguelandia” after losing the gold they’d been hunting for some time.
The photos for Season 3 highlight many of the characters in the series, and it looks like they seem to get off the island. The show stars Chase Stokes (John B.), Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron), Madison Bailey (Kiara), Jonathan Daviss (Pope), Rudy Pankow (J.J.), Austin North (Topper), Drew Starkey (Rafe Cameron), and Charles Esten (Ward Cameron), with Elizabeth Mitchell (Limbrey), Caroline Arapoglou (Rose), Carlacia Grant (Cleo), Cullen Moss (Deputy Shoupe), Julia Antonelli (Wheezie Cameron), Nicholas Cirillo (Barry), and Deion Smith (Kelce).
