I know not everyone is excited about Ron Howard's Solo: A Star Wars Story, but if you can get over the fact that Harrison Ford isn't playing Han Solo, it actually looks like it will be a great movie!
There was a lot of footage packed into the two trailers that were released for the film, and most of that footage looked great! There are some pretty stunning visuals that were shown off and I decided to take a bunch of screenshots showing a lot of those shots off.
There are a few things that I really enjoyed. I loved seeing Donald Glover in the role of Lando. He's going to be awesome! It was also really cool seeing a fresh and new Millennium Falcon before it had the crap beat out of it. There are also some really cool character and creature designs that were highlighted in the trailer.
There's so much going on in these trailers and it's hard to make out how all of those things will connect as a story, But I certainly can't wait to see how the story plays out! Now that I've seen footage from the film, I have high hopes for it. After all, the film was basically directed by Ron Howard from a script co-written with Lawrence Kasdan, who has a long history with the Star Wars franchise.
My favorite scene from the trailers released is at the end of the full trailer that was released when Han Solo is dangerously piloting the Millennium Falcon with the crew through some intense obstacles while being chased down by some TIE Fighters.
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
The film was directed by Ron Howard, and it stars Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Woody Harrelson, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany.
Solo: A Star Wars Story opens on May 25th. What are some of your favorite parts from the trailers that were released? Are there any obscure Easter eggs that you caught while watching it?
