Overlooked WOLVERINE Fan Film is a Must-Watch
Back in 2013, SoKrispyMedia released a Wolverine fan film in anticipation of James Mangold's The Wolverine, and somehow we missed it. But I just saw it for the first time this morning, and it's pretty damn awesome. So even though it's nearly two years old and some of you may have seen it already, I wanted to share it with you guys because it's one of the coolest X-Men-related fan films I've seen. It's not afraid to shy away from the brutality that burns at the center of Logan's character, and there are some pretty gnarly kills depicted here.
Jamie Costa plays Wolverine, who's ambushed by a team of mercenaries at a logging site. Costa has a great physicality to him, and is able to pull off some pretty rad moves. The visual effects are really solid and the action choreography is strong, but what really pushes this over the top for me is the score from Andrew Gerlicher, which gives the entire production n extremely professional sheen.
