It’s looking like one day we might actually see a sequel to the hit 2005 comedy Wedding Crashers. According to Collider, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are in talks to reprise their roles for Wedding Crashers 2.

Apparently, there’s a script for the movie that’s been written that “everyone likes” and the director of the original film, David Dobkin, is already scouting locations. The project hasn’t received an official greenlight yet, but things are moving forward.

I thought the original movie was great! It also starred Isla Fisher, Rachel McAdams, Will Ferrell, Bradley Cooper, and Christopher Walken. The story centered on Jeremy ( Vaughn) and John (Wilson), divorce mediators who spend their free time crashing wedding receptions. For the irrepressible duo, there are few better ways to drink for free and bed vulnerable women. So when Secretary of the Treasury William Cleary (Walken) announces the wedding of his daughter, the pair make it their mission to crash the high-profile event. But their game hits a bump in the road when John locks eyes with bridesmaid Claire (McAdams).

While the original film doesn’t really need a sequel, I wouldn’t mind seeing where these characters are in their lives now. A sequel could be fun, and I imagine some of the other cast members would return as well.

Vaughn previously talked about a sequel on ET saying, "Owen and I and the director of Crashers have been talking for the first time seriously [about] a sequel to that movie. So, there has been an idea that is pretty good. So, we are talking about that in the early stages.”

Dobkin also previously told Collider, "I’d be curious what it’d be like for guys in their late 40s who end up being single again and have to go back out in the world. What a weird, difficult, challenging story that is."

What do you think about the possibility of a Wedding Crashers sequel?
