Paddington 3 is officially in active development at Studio Canal, with representatives telling Variety, “We can confirm Studiocanal is working very hard on film 3 with the utmost craft and care — as with film 1 and 2.” Last week, in an interview on BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Paddington star Hugh Bonneville said there was “forward momentum” on the project, and that it was “somewhere on the horizon.”

The report added that in the past, Paddington writer-director Paul King said he will not direct the third film, but will still be involved. King is currently directing Warner Bros.’ Wonka, a Willy Wonka origin story, set to be released in March 2023.

There are no details to share yet for the third film, but we can expect to hear more now that it is in development. My family really enjoyed the first two films, so we are looking forward to a third one. Are you a fan of the franchise?
