Pamela Anderson and Guy Pearce Set to Star in Indie Feature QUEEN OF THE FALLS
Pamela Anderson and Guy Pearce are teaming up for a new indie feature titled Queen of the Falls, a music-driven love story.
The story details are mostly under wraps, but it’s being described as a “music-infused tale about two lovers on the run,” which sounds like an interesting project for the talents involved.
The film comes from the filmmaking duo Rania Attieh and Daniel Garcia, who are both writing and directing. The pair earned recognition in the indie world after winning the “Someone to Watch” Independent Spirit Award for their 2014 film H.
Adding to the creative team is composer Marius De Vries, known for his work on La La Land and Moulin Rouge, and choreographer Celia Rowlson Hall, whose credits include The Testament of Anne Lee and Aftersun.
Queen of the Falls will be produced by Oscar-winner Mollye Asher (Nomadland, The Rider) alongside Shruti Ganguly (H, Initials S.G.).
For Pearce, this project follows a celebrated run of recent work. He was nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his performance in Brady Corbet’s post-WWII epic The Brutalist, where he played a wealthy and corrupt figure who manipulates Adrien Brody’s character into a near-impossible architectural task.
Pearce also won an Emmy in 2011 for Mildred Pierce and has starred in acclaimed films like L.A. Confidential and Memento. He recently wrapped production on Ned Crowley’s Western Killing Faith.
Anderson, meanwhile, is coming off a wave of career highlights. She starred in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl, and she also shared the screen with Liam Neeson in Paramount’s reboot of The Naked Gun. Beyond her film work, Anderson has also returned to the stage, playing Roxie Hart in the 2022 Broadway production of Chicago.
