PANDEMIC Trailer: Rachel Nichols Leads This Found Footage POV Zombie Movie
"Just try to think of it as a game. It'll help."
Here's the first trailer for Pandemic, a new post-apocalyptic found footage horror movie that stars Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Continuum), Mekhi Phifer (8 Mile), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), and Missi Pyle (Galaxy Quest). It's shot in a first person POV found footage style, which for some reason worked for me in Hardcore but here just looks kind of sickening.
Pandemic is set in the near future, where a virus of epic proportions has overtaken the planet. There are more infected than uninfected, and humanity is losing its grip on survival. Its only hope is finding a cure and keeping the infected contained. Lauren (Rachel Nichols) is a doctor, who, after the fall of New York, comes to Los Angeles to lead a team to hunt for and rescue uninfected survivors.
This trailer has one of the worst uses of music I've ever heard; the dialogue is fine, but all of the music is punishingly loud, scratchy, and just plain unpleasant to listen to. Anyone who's interested in this movie will probably be hoping that this is just music used for the trailer and likely has their fingers crossed that none of this will end up in the official score for the final film.
Pandemic hits theaters on April 1st.
