Paramount Pictures Is Developing a Seventh PARANORMAL ACTIVITY Film
It looks like the Paranormal Activity horror franchise isn’t dead yet! Paramount Pictures Chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos recently announced at CineEurope that a new Paranormal Activity movie is officially in development at the studio. He revealed:
“We are partnering with uber horror producer Jason Blum to bring a new installment of Paranormal Activity.”
I actually enjoyed the Paranormal Activity films, but I also felt like the franchise had run its course and I was fine not seeing any more Paranormal Activity movies being made. The studio is obviously looking inject some new fresh life into the franchise, though, by bringing on Blum to help revive it. This will be the seventh film in the franchise.
2019 actually marks the year anniversary of the release of the first movie that exploded at the box office. The first Paranormal Activity was made on a budget of $15,000 dollars and went on to gross $193 million worldwide.
I can’t say that I’m excited about Paranormal Activity coming back. Like I said, I think the franchise had a good run, but after six movies, it was time for it to end. However, if the movie actually gets made, I’ll watch it.
What do you all think about Paramount developing a new Paranormal Activity movie?
