Paramount's FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF Spinoff Movie Gets a Director

Paramount is working on a spinoff movie titled Sam and Victor’s Day Off, based on characters from the classic 1986 John Hughes movie, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Sam and Victor were the two guys who worked in the Chicago parking garage, who promised to take care of Cameron’s dad’s 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, which Ferris had taken from Cameron’s dad’s garage at home without permission. Cameron was visibly uneasy with the arrangement, and as the teens walked away, we saw the garage employees speed off into the distance embarking on a joy ride. Now we will get to see what they did on their adventure that day.

The film is being developed by Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, and writer Bill Posley (who wrote for Cobra Kai Season 4) is handling the script. David Katzenberg, a producer on The Goldbergs, It, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, has been tapped to direct the film.

This seems like it’s going to be a fun project. We don’t have a release date for it yet, but we will keep you posted as it develops.
