PARANORMAL ACTIVITY is Finally Getting Its First Video Game From The Creators of THE MORTUARY ASSISTANT
The successful long-running horror movie franchise, Paranormal Activity, is finally getting its own video game. This comes after 17 years and seven films in the franchise, and the game is being developed by Brian Clarke, the creator of The Mortuary Assistant, which is an awesomely terrifying horror game!
The game is titled Paranormal Activity: Found Footage and it is being produced by DreadXP and Paramount Game Studios. There’s an announcement teaser below for you to watch, but it doesn’t really show anything. There’s an unintelligible conversation, seemingly between police officers that can be heard behind the fuzz of an old video tape, but that’s it.
DreadXP says the game will feature an advanced "Haunt System" that dynamically alters the intensity and style of the scares you'll encounter based on your actions.
Clark teased in a statement: "The success of the Paranormal Activity franchise epitomizes the power and reach of the horror genre. If you thought The Mortuary Assistant was scary, we're taking what we learned during the development of that title and cranking it up with a more reactive and horrifying haunting system. It’s going to be intense!"
It sounds like horror fans are going to be able to take a crazy freaky ride with this game! I’m very curious to see how it turns out! I like the Paranormal Activity franchise, and I remember watching the original film for the first time. That was such a fun horror movie, and easily the best in the franchise.
The Paranormal Activity game will launch in 2026 on "multiple platforms."
