Patrick Stewart Says There May Be an Opportunity for Him to Play Professor X Again in the MCU

Even before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released, it was confirmed that Sir Patrick Stewart was going to appear in the film as Professor X. Marvel didn’t even try to hide that aspect of the movie.

With the multiverse being cracked open and explored in the MCU, there’s a chance that anyone from anywhere could show up at any time. Anything is now possible, and that includes seeing Stewart back in the role of Charles Xavier again after the events of the sequel.

I won’t get into what happened in the movie just in case you haven’t seen it, but in a recent interview with Variety the actor was asked about returning as Professor X and this was his response:

"Charles Xavier? Yeah. There may be. You know, the whole X-Men comic series is so huge, so vast, there might be an opportunity in which he comes back. We'll see."

Who knows what Marvel has planned for Xavier if any exists right now. If they do, I imagine the next time we’ll see Professor X is when Marvel ends up introducing the X-Men into the MCU, which we all know is coming.
