Patrick Stewart To Play Bosley in The CHARLIE'S ANGELS Reboot

I know a lot of fans aren’t really excited about Elizabeth BanksCharlie’s Angels reboot but this new casting news might spark some interest in you. According to THR, Patrick Stewart is in final negotiations to take on the role of Bosley.

I love Patrick Stewart and the role of Bosley will certainly be an interesting one for him to take on. He will join the previously cast Kristen StewartNaomi Scott (Aladdin, Power Rangers) and Ella Balinska (Midsomer Murders).

What’s interesting about this is that we heard Banks was also going to play Bosley in the film. Well, there’s a new little twist to the Bosley character in this reboot. It’s explained that the film will feature multiple characters named Bosley. In the past Bosley acted as the face of the enigmatic and never-seen owner of the detective agency, Charlie Townsend.

Here’s some information on the story that the reboot will tell:

The new story takes the female-fronted detective agency premise of the original 1976-1981 TV series and 2000 and 2003 movies global, with the Townsend Agency now a security and intelligence service that has teams around the world. The movie will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels.

Banks is directing the film from a script she wrote with Jay Basu (The Girl in the Spider's Web).

Stewart was most recently set to reprise his Star Fleet captain role of Jean-Luc Picard in a new Star Trek television series being developed for CBS All-Access.

What do you think about Stewart taking on the role of one of these Bosley characters?
