Patrick Stewart Will Play a Skinhead Leader in GREEN ROOM

Star Trek's Patrick Stewart just landed a villainous role as the leader of a white supremacist skinhead group in a crime thriller called Green Room. He joins Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, and Alia Shawkat in the film, which follows "a young punk rock band who find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon a horrific act of violence and fighting for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads intent on eliminating all witnesses."

The movie comes from director Jeremy Saulnier, who directed the incredibly intense movie Blue Ruin. If you haven't seen that movie yet, you need to check it out because it is freakin' awesome. It's streaming on Netflix so you have no excuses, unless you don't have Netflix. Having seen that film, I'm confident that the director will deliver yet another great movie with Green Room.

Stewart will play a character named Darcy Banker, described as "the unflinching and industrial leader of a ferocious white supremacist fiefdom based in the Pacific Northwest." When I think of Stewart, it's hard for me to imagine him as a ruthless, hateful bad guy, but he's an incredible actor, and I bet he'll give an amazing and terrifying performance in the movie.

Even though he's bald, who would have thought that Stewart would ever play a skinhead?
