Patton Oswalt Will Be Voicing M.O.D.O.K. in Marvel and Hulu's Animated Series
As you all know by now, Marvel and Hulu have teamed up to bring us a series of animated shows that include Howard the Duck, Hit-Monkey, Tigra & Dazzler Show, and M.O.D.O.K. Those shows would then lead up to a special called The Offenders.
When the shows were announced, we learned that Patton Oswalt would be one of the writers of M.O.D.O.K., but it turns out that he’ll have another part to play in the creation of the animated series as well. The actor recently appeared on Late Night with Seth Myers and it’s there he revealed that he will also be providing the voice for the title character!
“I’m gonna be voicing him. He is a supervillain, he has superintelligence, he has a forehead beam, he has all this technology. But, he is not on the A-level of Doctor Doom and the Red Skull. So, not only does he hate all the heroes, he hates all the other villains because he’s so resentful. Getting to play that is going to be really fun.”
Oswalt voicing M.O.D.O.K. is a fun direction for the character. It’s certainly an interesting choice for him and it will be cool to see how Oswalt ends up bringing him to life.
M.O.D.O.K. was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1967 and this series will center “around an egomaniacal supervillain with a really big head and a really little body, who struggles to maintain control of his evil organization and his demanding family.”
Oswalt will be writing the series with Jordan Blum and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb will be an executive producer.
What do you all think about Oswalt being the voice of M.O.D.O.K."?
