Paul Dano Set to Star Opposite Callum Turner and Margaret Qualley in Remake of Supernatural Thriller POSSESSION

Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Paul Dano (Little Miss Sunshine, There Will Be Blood, Love & Mercy) is set to star opposite Callum Turner and Margaret Qualley in the remake of 1981 supernatural thriller Possession coming together at Paramount. Parker Finn, the writer-director behind the hit horror franchise Smile is helming the film from his adapted script. Character details are under wraps.

Written and directed by Andrzej Żuławski, the 1981 Possession starred Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill as a married couple in Cold War-era West Berlin whose relationship spirals into supernatural terror. The film is a landmark of arthouse genre cinema and won Adjani the prize for Best Actress at Cannes.

Most recently seen starring opposite Alicia Vikander and Tom Sturridge in Olivier Assayas’ The Wizard of the Kremlin, Dano’s upcoming slate includes Florian Zeller’s psychological thriller Bunker, Ramin Bahrani’s Vegas: A Love Story and A24’s The Chaperones.
