Paul Dano, Taylor Schilling, and Aaron Eckhart Among Stars Cast in Animated Drama Series PANTHEON at AMC

Paul Dano (Little Miss Sunshine, There Will Be Blood), Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black), Aaron Eckhart (Thank You For Smoking, The Dark Knight), and Rosemarie DeWitt (United States of Tara, Little Fires Everywhere) have joined the cast of the animated drama series Pantheon coming to AMC. The series was ordered for two seasons back in March, and Craig Silverstein is adapting the script from a story by Ken Liu.

Here’s the synopsis:

The one-hour show is based on a series of short stories by Ken Liu about Uploaded Intelligence, or human consciousness uploaded to the cloud. The first season will consist of eight episodes and focus on Maddie, a bullied teen who receives mysterious help from someone online. The stranger is soon revealed to be her recently deceased father, David, whose consciousness has been uploaded to the cloud following an experimental destructive brain scan.

This sounds like a really interesting series, and has a great cast already! I am not usually pulled in to animated series, but this concept is really different and intriguing. Are you excited to check this series out whenever it’s available?
