Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis Face Off in Trailer For Showtime's BILLIONS
Showtime is attempting to stay competitive with fellow premium networks like HBO and Netflix by continuing to produce original content, the latest of which is a new series called Billions that stars Paul Giamatti and Homeland and Band of Brothers star Damian Lewis.
The network has picked up the series for 12 hour-long episodes, and now we have the first teaser trailer for the series. From this quick look, the show looks pretty solid, and it should be fun to see these two great actors go head to head with stakes as high as these.
Check out the trailer below, but beware: there's some NSFW language.
BILLIONS is a bold, contemporary drama that melds the worlds of ultra-wealth, influence and corruption as personified in two highly ambitious opposing figures: hard-charging, blue-blooded, politically connected U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Emmy and Golden Globe winner Paul Giamatti) and brilliant, calculating, blue-collar billionaire hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Emmy and Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis). Set amongst the Machiavellian machinations of New York City power politics and finance, BILLIONS weaves a complex, intricate narrative featuring a high-stakes game of predator-versus-prey.
