Paul Giamatti Joins Dwayne Johnson in Disney's JUNGLE CRUISE

Paul Giamatti is teaming back up with Dwayne Johnson in Disney's upcoming film Jungle Cruise. The two most recently starred together in San Andreas. Giamatti also joins Emily Blunt, Jesse Plemons, Jack Whitehall and Edgar Ramirez.

The story is set in the early 20th century and takes place in the Amazon jungle. Johnson is playing a boat captain in the story "who takes his sister (Blunt) and her brother (Whitehall) on a mission to find a tree believed to possess healing powers. Wild animals and a competing German expedition figure into the proceedings." Giamatti is said to be taking on the role of a crusty harbormaster.

Giamatti is such a great actor that seems to enjoy taking on a broad range of roles in his career and this is sure to be another fun project for him to be a part of.

Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Non-Stop) is directing the project. The movie will start shooting later this month through the summer.
