Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis's New Movie Is Coming in 2017

Earlier this summer, we heard that director Paul Thomas Anderson and actor Daniel Day-Lewis were going to reunite for a new movie. The two collaborated on There Will Be Blood in 2007, which is a film most cinephiles absolutely adore. Their new project is set in the world of fashion in the 1950s, and now we have a couple more details about their upcoming project.

Deadline reports that Universal and Focus Features won a bidding war for the new movie, which will go into production early in 2017 and be released late next year. That's about the extent of the new info, but it's terrific news: it means we don't have to wait very long to see another collaboration between two incredible artists operating at the top of their respective fields. Day-Lewis hasn't been in a movie since 2012's Lincoln, so the idea that he's returning to the big screen is exciting enough on its own, but to know that he'll be reteaming with Anderson makes this one of the most anticipated movies of the year and we barely know anything about it.

We'll keep you posted when more information becomes available, but this sounds like one you won't want to miss.
