Pauly Shore Celebrates Anniversary of ENCINO MAN by Posting Pic and Telling Fans He and Co-Stars Are Ready for a Sequel
Pauly Shore (Son-in-Law, Bio-Dome) is celebrating the anniversary of one of his biggest movie hits this week, the 1992 film Encino Man. The movie starred Shore along with Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings, Goonies) and Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, Doom Patrol), and followed Shore and Astin’s characters as they unearthed a caveman (Fraser) frozen beneath the ground while digging a backyard pool. They thaw him out, and hilarity ensues as they acclimate him to modern day.
Shore posted a picture of himself and Fraser from behind the scenes of the movie, and said the three stars are ready to make a sequel. He asked that fans hit up Disney+ and let them know we want a follow-up to the original.
This was one of my favorite movies growing up, and I don’t know that a sequel three decades later would work, but I would watch it. I have shared the original with my kids as well, so it would be fun for all of us to revisit the characters and see what they can do with it.
Check out Shore’s post below, and let us know if you’d be down for an Encino Man 2.
