Peacock Renews THE 'BURBS Series Starring Keke Palmer For Season 2

Peacock has announced that their series The ‘Burbs is returning for a second season at the streamer. The renewal for the mystery comedy series, starring and executive produced by Keke Palmer, comes two months after The ’Burbs‘s high-profile launch on Super Bowl Sunday in February.

Promoted with spots during the game on NBC and Peacock, all 8 episodes dropped on the streamer right after. As a result, The ‘Burbs had the highest Day 1 for a Peacock original ever.

Inspired by Imagine Entertainment’s 1989 horror-comedy film of the same name and set in present-day suburbia, The ’Burbs follows a young couple (Palmer, Jack Whitehall) who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home.

Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.

Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch and Kapil Talwalkar also star in the series, created by Celeste Hughey.
