NSFW Teaser Scene and Premiere Date for Will Forte's MACGRUBER Series

Peacock has revealed a teaser trailer and release date for their upcoming sequel series MacGruber, based on the Saturday Night Live character created by Will Forte that was previously turned into a 2010 film of the same name. The series will welcome back Forte in the title role, as well as franchise actors Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillippe. Billy Zane will also star in the series along with Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Joseph Lee Anderson, and Timothy V. Murphy.

Co-written and executive produced by Forte, “the series picks up after the titular character (Forte) was rotting in prison for over a decade and is finally free. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past—Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth (Zane). With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, of Vicki St. Elmo (Wiig) and Dixon Piper (Phillippe) to defeat the forces of evil. Zane’s Queeth is one of MacGruber’s mortal enemies. Long thought dead, he has resurfaced to carry out a heinous plot to destroy the world and, in the process, claim his revenge against MacGruber.”

In the teaser below, the former special operative is interviewed 10 years into serving his life sentence after the death of his arch enemy Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer in the film) at MacGruber’s second wedding.

This is a goofy character, and this will be a funny and stupid series for fans to escape into. Check out the teaser below, and watch MacGruber on Peacock on December 16th.
