Peacock's THE OFFICE Followup Series From Creators Greg Daniels & Michael Koman Adds Four Members to Its Cast
Peacock’s The Office Universe expansion from creators and executive producers Greg Daniels and Michael Koman has added four new actors to its cast.
They include Gbemisola Ikumelo (Black Ops, A League Of Their Own), Alex Edelman (Just For Us, Unfrosted), Tim Key (The Witchfinder, This Time with Alan Partridge) and Eric Rahill (Friendship, The Bear).
Ikumelo, Edelman and Rahill also serve as writers on the as-yet-untitled mockumentary set in the same universe as Daniels’ NBC hit The Office. Details regarding the characters are under wraps.
They join the previously announced stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Melvin Gregg, Chelsea Frei and Ramona Young.
In the new comedy series, the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is searching for a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.
This sounds promising. I like that they are exploring new characters and a new setting with the premise of exploring a different workplace. It’s not just a rehashing, but an original spin, with some very funny and talented cast and crew involved. I look forward to seeing what they do with it.
