Pedro Pascal and Chris Hemsworth Looking to Star in New Film CRIME 101
Pedro Pascal and Chris Hemsworth are looking to star in a new film project titled Crime 101, which is an adaptation of Don Winslow's novella of the same name. Pascal and Hemsworth both expressed interest in the film before the Hollywood strikes started.
No deals have been put together for the actors yet, but according to Deadline, Amazon and Netflix have been chasing after the project and it looks like the project is going to land at Amazon with a $100 million deal.
This is an interesting crime story said to be in the vein of Heat. In the story, “A string of high-level jewel heists up and down the Pacific Coast Highway has gone unsolved for years, mostly because the perpetrator has lived by a strict code he calls ‘Crime 101’. Police attribute the thefts to the Colombian cartels. But Detective Lou Lubesnick’s gut says it’s the work of just one man. Now the lone-wolf jewel thief is looking for that fabled final last score, and Lou breaks all the rules of ‘Crime 101’.”
The movie will be directed by American Animals helmer Bart Layton. American Animals was a great film, and Crime 101 seems like a great film project for everyone involved.
