Pedro Pascal Breaks Silence on Being Cast as Reed Richards in THE FANTASTIC 4
The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal has recently broken his silence on being cast a Richard Reeds / Mister Fantastic in Marvel's upcoming movie The Fantastic 4. As you might imagine, he’s very excited about the whole thing.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor was asked about being cast in the Marvel movie, and he excitedly responded: "I know, it’s too much. I can't tell you how excited I am, which is beyond."
Pascal went on to talk about the casting of the other actors in the movie as well, saying: "There isn't anything more exciting than being in a cast like that, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joe Quinn, and our director Matt Shakman, and to be invited into a family like that is unbelievable and we all just want to do our best and share it with the world."
Kirby takes on the role of Susan Storm Richards / Invisible Woman, The Bear’s Moss-Bachrach plays Ben Grimm / The Thing, and Stranger Things’ Quinn takes on the role of Johnny Storm / The Human Torch.
This is a strong cast for the movie, now fans are just hoping that Marvel Studios gets the story right. Setting the story in the 1960s is definitely a step in the right direction! I’ve got high hopes for this movie. Fans have been waiting for Marvel to make this movie for a long time, the pressure is on to make it great!
Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, who was brought in to re-write the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
Fantastic 4 will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
