People Are Making SIMPSONS Vaporwave Videos and It's Strangely Awesome
I know the memes, and I hear what the hip kids say about Vaporwave. For this reason, I stayed away from the musical genre in fear of being associated with "overhyped garbage." Last night my curiosity got the best of me when I learned there's a community of people creating artsy music videos for these songs using classic episodes from The Simpsons...
Be warned...it gets a bit trippy.
What started as a joke has now evolved into an art form. Just do a search for Simpsons Wave and you'll find an assload of videos to occupy an hour of your time...
Did Homer Simpson really do "purple drank" before rap culture claimed it?! I don't have the answers for that. What I do know is that I have an unhealthy obsession with these videos, and I wish I could be a little less lame. They are cool though, right?
