Pete Holmes' New Batman Comedy Sketch “Riddle Me This Batman!” Brings Gotham’s Dumbest Dark Knight to Life
Batman might strike fear into criminals across Gotham, but put a riddle in front of him and he’s as lost as a henchman trying to spell his own name.
That’s the setup for the sketch “Riddle Me This Batman!” where the Riddler gives him a riddle so simple even Robin could crack it. Instead of triumphantly outsmarting his foe, the so-called “world’s greatest detective” flounders in the most awkward way possible, and the result is pure comedy gold.
Watching him fumble through the puzzle takes the Caped Crusader’s legendary intellect and flips it completely on its head.
The sketch is part of Pete Holmes’ viral series that introduces us to “Badman,” a hilariously unhinged version of the hero.
As the creators describe it: “Meet Badman, Gotham’s most emotionally unstable (and least self-aware) caped crusader. In this viral sketch series, Pete Holmes dons the cowl to deliver a hilariously unhinged take on Batman that’s heavy on the voice, light on the logic, and painfully awkward in every way.
“From misinterpreting Bane to oversharing with Commissioner Gordon, Badman turns every dark night into a painfully funny mess. If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like if Bruce Wayne had zero emotional intelligence but a ton of misplaced confidence, this is it.”
It’s a fun parody that makes you wish DC would let this version loose in Gotham for real.
