Peter Capaldi Added to Former DOCTOR WHO Cast Members to Join ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING Season 6
Peter Capaldi has joined the cast of Only Murders In the Building season 6 at Hulu, which is shaping up to be quite a Doctor Who reunion. Capaldi portrayed the Twelfth Doctor, and has been cast as a recurring guest star in the London-set installment of Only Murders In the Building.
He joins fellow Season 6 recurring cast additions Jodie Whittaker, who was Capaldi’s successor and the first woman to portray the iconic Time Lord, as well as the actor most closely associated with the role, David Tennant, who played the Tenth Doctor and the Fourteenth Doctor.
Additionally, part of OMITB‘s upcoming season is Jim Broadbent, who played an alternate version of the Eleventh Doctor in the 1999 Comic Relief special Doctor Who: The Curse of Fatal Death.
The previously announced season 6 recurring guest stars also include Nicola Coughlan, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis, Kathryn Hunter, Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, Sharon Horgan, Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi and Lesley Nicol.
This marks the first time the comedy mystery series has ventured outside of the U.S., as the crime-solving trio of Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) leaves New York City to investigate London’s newest mystery. Production on the new season continues in the U.K..
