Peter Jackson's THE LORD OF THE RINGS Extended Edition Trilogy Coming to Theaters This Summer!
I’ve got some exciting news for all of you The Lord of the Rings fans out there! Warner Bros. has announced that they are releasing the Extended Editions of Peter Jackson’s epic fantasy trilogy in theaters for one weekend in June.
This is also the first time the re-releases will feature their remastered 4K versions from 2020, which is pretty exciting! I have such fond memories of watching these movies in the theater when they were first released.
I’ve actually been wanting to see these films on the big screen again, so I’m excited that this screening event is happening!
The screenings will take place on June 8, 9, and 10 with one movie a day: The Fellowship of the Ring will be released on Saturday, The Two Towers will screen on Sunday, and The Return of the King will be shown on Monday.
Tickets are already on sale here so if you want to go, you better get tickets before they’re sold out! All major theater chains are participating.
Peter Jackson’s award-winning The Lord of the Rings Trilogy tells the story of a meek hobbit of The Shire and eight companions setting out on a journey to Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring and the dark lord Sauron.
